Bob Shepard was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Bob is very active in the area of higher education both statewide and locally. He was appointed by Gov. George Bush to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in 1996, and reappointed by Gov. Rick Perry in 2004 and served as Chairman from 2005 to 2008. He is Past Chairman of the University of Texas at Brownsville Development Board. Bob is also a past member of Pan American University Board of Regents where he served as Chairman of the Board.
Bob also served as a member of the Harlingen Industrial Foundation, member and President of the Harlingen Economic Development Board. He is a past member and Chairman of the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Bob currently serves as a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas Board of Directors. He also is Chairman of the IIAT Windstorm Task Force.
Bob and his wife Anne have five grown children between them.
Josh Fields

Raised in Harlingen, Josh Fields graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Prior to joining Shepard Walton King Insurance Group in 2003, he worked as a financial consultant.
Josh, a Certified Insurance Counselor, is actively involved in servicing large property and casualty clients, including South Padre Island condominiums and school districts in Cameron, Hidalgo and Willacy counties.
Josh and his wife Mia have an infant daughter Nora Lisa. An avid fly fisherman and quail hunter, he serves on the Coastal Conservation Association Board. He is secretary of the Independent Insurance Agents of the Rio Grande Valley.
Raul Cabaza, III

Raul, a Weslaco resident, graduated from Pan American University with Bachelor of Business Administration in 1987 and began working in the insurance industry at The Hartford. In 1991, he joined what is now Shepard Walton King.
Raul sells and services insurance products and programs for school districts and municipalities, artisan contractors, health care providers, non-profits, and retail/wholesale operations. A Certified Insurance Counselor, his practice includes property, general liability, fleet, workers compensation, professional errors and omissions and directors and officers liability insurance.
Raul’s long-term community involvement has benefited medical, civic, and educational organizations and his church. He is currently President of the Knapp Medical Center Foundation, Board Chair – Su Casa de Esperanza and a member of the Weslaco Civil Service Commission. Raul and his wife Cynthia, who is also a partner at Shepard Walton King, have two sons.
Chris Graham

Brownsville native Chris Graham attended Texas A&M and the University of Texas-Pan Am with a Finance degree. He worked as a Farmers Insurance liability adjuster for two years before joining the predecessor of Shepard Walton King in 1993.
Chris specializes in all aspects of commercial insurance. He applies his experience as an adjuster and a Certified Insurance Consultant to assist clients through the claims process, marketing process and is proud of his long-term retention rate.
A graduate of Leadership McAllen, he has served as president of the Coastal Conservation Association and the McAllen South Rotary Club. Chris and his wife Marianne have three sons: Patrick, Timothy and Robert. It has been said that he likes to fish.
